These performances are made in response to the architectural site of the GOMA foyer with the staff of QUAG and GOMA, the people who inhabit this site. Canon and Canon detail both make visible the human architecture of the institution, as Andrea Fraser suggests, “The institution of art is internalised, embodied and performed by individuals”. In Canon, the Gallery Services Officers voluntarily wear tap shoes for the duration of the exhibition.
